WEAVING
Our weaving is all done by hand on loom specially made for our work. Our weavers are young Nepali-Tibetan men and women who are day and night working very hard to produce these beautiful Pashmina Products. Women also do the finishing of the ends (twisting of the tassels) on our Pashmina Products. It takes one person an entire day to twist and knot the ends of three shawls.

Finishing & checking before Dyeing
Once the Pashmina Products has been produced then the first step is to check if for any manufacturing defects or for any other kind of mending is required. Then these pieces are washed properly to remove all the dirt and marks then after drying they are given a very good mouling to bring out the natural softness of the Pashmina (Cashmere) wool.

Dyeing
Dyeing is basically done by hands using metal pots of different sizes, which ranges from dyeing one piece at a time to 100 pieces at a time. We dye at a temperature just below boiling for about 40 minutes. The woven item is first rinsed in hot water, then in cool water and then finally washed using mild detergents. We dye in a range of around 170 colors, mostly based on nature: actual flowers, iridescent feathers, minerals and autumn leaves, as well as current fashion colors which includes lips and eyes color.
